What is your question?
I have a fuel guage issue. I have replaced the dash and the float, and checked the resistance, float travel etc., and checked all wiring and my gauge is still not accurate. When full, the guage registers 3/4 and then it decreases with gas usage but bottoms out when I have 1/4 tank? Any ideas would be appreciated. todd@managementinsight.co (Not .com)

Hello, first, we don't reply via email. The fuel gauge operation is basically operated via the float on the fuel pump, through wiring with varying resistance based on the potentiometer which is the float, registering on the fuel gauge. It's not very specialized. As a result, you either have a float issue, wiring resistance issue, or a gauge issue. Is the fuel pump original equipment? Is it aftermarket? Has it been modified? I would recommend an original equipment General Motors pump with float attached, verify the wires have a good continuity, and verify the gauge operates as designed. Yes, this could get costly. But something in the mix is not working right, and you have to eliminate these variables to get results.
