What is your question?
I have a 1998 GMC Sierra k1500 with 218k miles, I can admit that I baby the ever life out of it. But every time I start the truck, ( when cold ) it has a loud ticking or decent low to mild knock, then goes away a bit once my truck is warm. I have put a couple cap fulls of ATF in it and it didn’t really do much, I have been up to date if not better with changing my oil, every 3-4months I will change it. By the looks of all the times there is no shine or glitter/ metal fragments in the oil. I run 5W 10 as the manual says to go with, but would it quiet the noise if I used a thicker oil like 20W 50? I truly need help on figuring this out, any answer help. Thanks in advance
