I removed the engine for repairs and after reinstalling the engine I can not locate where the plug goes. It is in the part of the harness that goes to the crankshaft position sensor on the front timing chain cover of a 5.7 vortec V8 motor.

I'm sorry - no real help to be found within an online forum for a visual wire connector - if you can't find it, there's no concept by which an expert could find it for you, I'm sorry to say. Is the engine the original one, or did you change it out with another? Engage a local shop near you for help.
