What is your question?
New catalytic converter, New oxygen sensors, New MAF, IAC, EGR, ambient temp...,I've completed all monitors to get onto the smog test, but the catalyst monitor is still showing up. Did the GMC drive cycle procedure and after 1500 miles of driving and redoing the same drive cycle, I am stuck at a stand still waiting to get smogged. 4.3 , 5 speed 4x4 259,000 miles...but maintained very well from previous owner. But when I bought it, the guy had cute off the catalytic converter and welded straight pipes on it...I've resetted the computer after all my repairs and I'm having a real hard time to get the catalyst monitor to pass....No leaks of any...no strange noises, no vibration...if anyone can help me figure out to get this catalyst monitor to give me the go ahead, i will be forever in your debt...thank you.
How long has your 2001 GMC Jimmy had this problem?

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Why Jimmy, why? It sounds like you've done your due diligence and that Jimmy is just being stubborn. If the catalyst monitor is still not set after performing the correct drive cycle there may be residual contamination in the exhaust system or the replacement catalytic converter is not functioning properly. It may be an exhaust leak that isn't loud but enough that it's causing the monitor not to set. Some aftermarket catalysts may not meet the requirements necessary to satisfy the emissions system even if advertised that they do so. Additionally, ensure that the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) software is up-to-date and that there are no pending or stored trouble codes effecting the monitor completion.
