Depending on the condition of your 2000 GMC Jimmy it may very well be worth while to replace your transmission if in fact the problems you are having are properly diagnoses as a faulty transmission. If the condition of your Jimmy warrants the cost I would suggest a rebuilt transmission with some sort of warranty. It may be worth the extra expense to get a warranty with your replacement transmission.
