why will my new transmission not shift from 2nd to drive and so on?

bought a new trans for my van and its not wanting to shift from 2nd to drive and so on already changed sellinoid and sensors had electrical checked all in good shape but cant figure out why it wont shift properly i had bought this van from a friend that had let it sit for a few yrs. because the trans went and as i said i replaced the trans its a 4L60E 5.7L
