2003 Envoy. Stopped pulling.

Was coming from work and suddenly it revved and then stopped pulling all together. When I pulled over I heard a ticking/pecking noise coming from around there somewhere. Couldn't really pinpoint where but was around the tranny for sure. Fluid is full, shift indicator works properly, will not take any gear. Doesn't have any leaks or issues before today. Help if you can please. I don't need a tow bill on top of this. 2003 Envoy 126k miles. 4wd.
