First see if the drive shaft is turning while it is in gear and not moving. If it is turning, the problem is in the differential. If it is not turning, try putting the transfer case in 4 wheel drive. If the vehicle then moves, the problem is in the transfer case (common issue and relatively minor repair in these years). If it still does not move, the problem is more likely in the transmission or clutch
