94 1500 Sierra GMC 4 x 4 auto transmission shifts into reverse but does not move

1994 GMC 1500 4 x 4 Sierra will go into reverse gear but will not move. All other forward gears seem fine.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Won't go in reverse at all when it's warm

How long has your 1994 GMC C1500 had this problem?

this problem just started, and now I don't even want to drive it
