Hi, my name is Devin. I'm an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team at RepairPal. I'm so sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your vehicle. Electrical surges and charging issues in your Suburban can be tricky to diagnose. Since you've already replaced the battery and alternator, the problem could be due to a bad ground connection or a faulty voltage regulator. Check all the battery connections and grounds to ensure they are clean and secure. Additionally, the alternator's voltage regulator might be malfunctioning, even if the alternator is new. A professional diagnostic can help identify the exact cause of the surges and ensure your vehicle maintains a proper charge. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
