engine starts and dies

Is the idle smooth enough, how long since your last tune-up? Any vacuum leaks? Any Check Engine Codes? Check your fuel pressure to make sure the pump runs correctly. Does it run when your are starting it and then die when you let go of the key, because that could be a faulty ignition switch.
