Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Sounds like your front blower motor's taken an early retirement while the rear HVAC is still on the clock. The fact that you hear a fan under the passenger seat (likely the rear auxiliary blower) but not from the dash points to an issue with the front blower motor, its resistor, or a fuse. Start simple: check the blower motor fuse in the engine bay or interior fuse box. If it's blown, replace it and see if the front fan wakes up. If the fuse is intact, the blower motor resistor could be toast—it regulates fan speeds and tends to fail on vehicles like yours. Worst case? The blower motor itself might need replacing. You’ll need a multimeter or a good tech to confirm the culprit. For now, crank the rear fan and defrost to keep warm while troubleshooting!
