What is your question?
There is only heat on the drivers side, not on the passenger side. Purchase a blend door from the local parts store but could not change it because of it's location. Is there some special procedure to gain access to the heating blend door? Don't want to spend $300 in labor to change a $27 dollar part.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Noting; it is always like this.
How long has your 2008 Ford Taurus X had this problem?
Vehicle purchased used - it was in this condition

This repair should take maybe a half hour. Lower the glove box for access. This is not a terribly difficult job for someone with experience; if you are new at this, it will take much longer but it's still doable. I'd suggest a subscription to a repair manual site like All Data -- www.alldatadiy.com -- to get the shop manual pages for this and other repairs. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops That link will find you techs at shops near you to help as well.
