Rick make sure every think is absolutely identical prior to starting to replace the engine small changes in sensor location, hose routing ect.... are a give away that it is not a direct swap and in some states would make illegal to swap as the car is now longer smog test compliant. It is important ot have the correct repair information as well. There is a company that independent auto repair shops "buy" their information from that offer a very reasonable service to do it yourselvers. You can get a one week subrcription or year subscription very cheap. The information is year make and model specific repair procedures, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... great quality information same as the professionals have ,much better than generic workshop manuals from parts stores, much cheaper than the factory manual try http://bit.ly/mitchell_repair_manuals_online and get an online repair manual subscription.
Hey Pat, thanx for the info. Any other complications that I might have to worry about? The car is on craigslist, and he wants it done. I figured a weekend job but don't want surprises. How much should I charge, and can I ask this on this site? Thanx again, Rick.
