Does a Blower motor resistor module have to be reprogrammed if you get a new one

Recently my air is stuck on high but I can still adjust the temperature. When I press the OFF switch, it blasts air on to the windshield. I just bought a brand new Blower motor resistor module from O'Reilly. Does a brand new resistor module need to be reprogrammed in order to function properly? Is there something else that I should check as well.
