There are two transmissions for the 2006 Freestyle. The CVT and the 6 Speed Automatic. There are not many supporting parts available to rebuild the 6 speed. The CVT is a tough one to rebuild and has few people in the business with first hand knowledge about this short run Ford unit. First do a diagnosis and find out what your'e up against. Hopefully it's a control problem and not internal.
