What is your question?
Why is it that my traction control light popped on in my car while I was driving and then when I turned off it goes away and then it will come back on a couple miles later?
How long has your 2005 Ford Five Hundred had this problem?
A few days

Hello, the traction control system will test for system concerns after vehicle restart, but will also "clear" and attempt the test again on the next restart, after driving a bit and having the problem present itself again. Testing is needed in the anti-lock brake and traction control system to determine what is failing and what needs to be done to repair it.
Your vehicle has multiple sensors that monitor vehicle speed and braking. These circuits may affect the proper operation of your traction control system and where a fault may be detected, a warning light would alert you to this occurrence. Feel free to contact Interstate Auto Care at your convenience and we will perform the diagnosis and necessary repair (the same day in most cases) We are open Monday to Friday 8 to 6, and Saturdays 8 to 5.
