After replacing battery my " Mileage before Empty " reads over 420 miles, normally after fill up should read 325 miles, is there some sort of reset to get an accurate miles reading?

Usually the computer calculates the miles per gallon X gallons in the fuel tank, So maybe your Five Hundred is getting better mileage now that it has a fresh battery. ON the next fill up mark down the odometer mileage and the next fill up subtract the mileage and times it by the gallons used and it should tell you how many MPG your getting now
Just filled it up again and it has NOT recalculated the miles before empty, I don't care about what MPG only want accurate reading on miles before empty, i know my daughter and she will push it, there must be some fuel reset some- where?
This info is from your owners manual and here's the link http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pubs/content/~WO5500/~MUS~LEN/34/05500og3e.pdf MESSAGE CENTER (IF EQUIPPED) With the ignition in the ON position, the message center, located on your instrument cluster, displays important vehicle information through a constant monitor of vehicle systems. You may select display features on the message center for a display of status. The system will also notify you of potential vehicle problems with a display of system warnings followed by a long indicator chime. Selectable features Reset Press this control to select and reset functions shown in the INFO menu and SETUP menu. Info menu This control displays the following control displays: • Odometer • Distance to Empty • Average Fuel Economy • Trip Odometer • Fuel Used • Trip Elapsed Drive Time • Compass Odometer/Trip odometer Refer to Gauges in the Instrument Cluster chapter. Distance to empty (DTE) Selecting this function from the INFO menu estimates approximately how far you can drive with the fuel remaining in your tank under normal driving conditions. Remember to turn the ignition OFF when refueling to allow this feature to correctly detect the added fuel. The DTE function will display LOW FUEL LEVEL when you have approximately 20–25 miles (32–40 km) to empty. If you RESET this warning message, this display and tone will return within 10 minutes. 2005 Five Hundred (500) Owners Guide (post-2002-fmt) USA (fus) Driver Controls 59
I'm aware of all this, will only reset for service warning.
