TBC default reads out across the dash monitor

This means you have an issue with your Trailer Brake Controller. Are you currently towing or is something plugged into your trailer tow wiring harness? The engine light may or may not be related to this concern. There will probably be several chassis and engine processor codes in memory that need diagnosed.
