Problem with EGR valve

What is your question?

I bought this truck in 2006 and have had to have the EGR valve replaced twice. The Ford service center first cleaned it along with the regular maintenance and when the problem persisted, they said they have found cleaning the valve does not work and they have had to replace them. It lasted one year, I had to have it replaced again last year at a huge cost. I'm terrified of this being recurring as I can't afford the expense. Anyone have any experience with this valve?
