Switched to 4 wh. Dr. and now will not disengage

Switching in and out of 4 Low takes a few things having to happen at the same time: -the brake must be applied. -transmission must be in NEUTRAL (or clutch pedal applied). -vehicle speed must be below 8 km/h (5 mph). This should get you back to normal.

check your manual. There's a series of steps you have to perform to get out of 4 Low. its something like a) press break b)put in neutral c)then switch out of 4 low. double check this with your manual....

Thank you Dave JHM and MCLuka for your responses. Yes, finally after looking at some other people's issues with the same situation and thinking through what I did or did not do, I tried the neutral with brake on and switching. It finally worked. I purchased used and no manual.
