for over 18 months check engine light has been on and over drive light flashes, but unit ran good. Then over night, after a rain, where water leaked inside on the floorboard, the engine would die when shift into gear_ read code po743, replaced TCC control and check engine light went off, over drive light quit flashing. But engine still dies when shift into gear from park , but if start in neutral, engine will engage in drive, but dies if shifted into reverse
How long has your 2004 Ford F-250 Super Duty had this problem?

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Well, if your check engine light is on, the cause of it needs tested and repairs made. If your overdrive light is flashing, this shows a transmission fault - which must be tested and repairs made. Water leaking inside sounds like a major concern too. "Replaced TCC Control" - did you monitor the engagement versus command of the TCC using a diagnostic tool and live stream data? If you have an engine stalling shifting into gear, it could very well be transmission related, which is why I suggest testing and troubleshooting...starting with the information you have and moving forward to resolve known concerns. For these concerns now, I'd recommend a shop near you be employed to weigh in and assist in diagnosis and repairs. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
