Hello, if you have an automatic transmission equipped vehicle, it will be necessary to determine If the vehicle is showing that the gear selector is in "park" or "neutral". Even if the physical shift lever is in one of those gears, it may not be engaging it -- so a diagnostic tool would be helpful in determining the gear the processor is seeing. If not in park or neutral gears, the engine will not crank over. The battery should also be checked to see if it is fully charged and able to sustain a load from the starter motor.
