What is your question?
When I'm on idle, red light, stop signs or right when I make a stop to reverse the truck stops. And starts up right away at times and other times it takes forever to start back up. The truck runs fine when on and I've had no other problems before this. I haven't noticed any oil leaks or knocking sounds coming from the engine. No smoke nothing nothing at all.
What makes this problem better or worse?
When I'm parked front facing up hill.
How long has your 2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty had this problem?
2 weeks

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Sounds like your F-250 is playing a game of "Red Light, Green Light," but with a twist. If your oil gauge is dropping when you're idling, it could be a sign of low oil pressure. This might be due to a faulty oil pressure sensor or a worn-out oil pump. Since you mentioned it happens more when parked uphill, it might be affecting oil flow. The fact that it starts up again, albeit reluctantly, suggests the issue might be intermittent. Another possibility is a problem with the idle air control valve, which can cause stalling at idle. It's like your truck's version of stage fright—works fine when moving, but stalls when the spotlight's on. I'd recommend getting it checked out before it decides to take a permanent nap at a stop sign.
