Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Why has the truck sat for so long? Was there a mechanical failure that was not addressed? "Pump the gas pedal" does nothing on a fuel injected vehicle like this. If you hold the pedal to the floor, it may shut off fuel supply during cranking, which if the engine is flooded with fuel may help start it. Beyond that, you'll need to find out what is missing from starting the vehicle: fuel, spark air or exhaust - along with engine processor control.
