What is your question?
My 7.3 F250 steering column will randomly vibrate. It begins by feeling a slight pull left or sometimes right. The column begins a subtle vibration but progresses to a big vibration that shakes the entire dash. This is very random; maybe happening once every 2-3 months. Not related to speed or a bumpy road. Park the truck then next day will be totally fine. Ford mechanics have looked at the truck 3 times: brakes, suspension, steering column all good. Currently in the shop for 3 days. They can’t find a problem. Have test driven 3 times while in the shop on highway & back roads. They are perplexed. Example: I was driving 55 mph in good weather on smooth highway for 30 mins, began the vibration as described. Parked x 1 day, truck was fine.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Parking the truck
How long has your 2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty had this problem?
Very randomly for 1 year

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. You appear to be doing all the right things to try and troubleshoot this concern. The only thing that comes up in my mind that is not necessarily going to happen every time you drive the vehicle in every circumstance is driveline angle. The weight of any load carried or towed will affect the angle of the driveline, as the rear suspension height may chance accordingly. This can create harmonic vibration when there was none before. This concern is very specific with load carrying and it's just a guess as I had not seen that ruled in or out in your described concerns. Above all, keep in contact with a good shop near you that can be of help. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
