Hello, When rain causes a no-start issue, there is ionized water (rainwater) entering a major circuit. This may be the powertrain control module, or even the security system if water is entering the cabin. This is not going to be an easy find, and testing of individual circuits will likely be needed until the vehicle will communicate with a scanner.
Could it be the ground wire?
Either battery cable could yield a good battery useless, but I could not see rain affecting a negative battery cable.
