What is your question?
every once in a great while the speedometer works for a very short time. the gas, oil, and battery gauges do work. But sometimes if it is 1/4 or lower int will just drop down to empty and ding. Engine light is on all the time, but have taken it to ford dealership, autozone, and orielly's to be hooked up to scan and they all say nothing is wrong.

Please, do not rely on "Autozone" or other parts stores to help diagnose your problem. These places seem to be helpful with free use of these tools, but the tools do not tell you anything if you don't know what you're looking at or for. Also, codes do not diagnose vehicle concerns. They provide clues for trained technicians or even skilled enthusiasts to troubleshoot further. Your check engine light being on all the time is an indication that there is a code or are codes stored in the memory or actively happening in the engine's processor. Testing needs to be performed first to see what is going on here, since there is data to be gained. Sounds like a power, ground or networking problem with the instrumentation, but it's too hard to say without having the proper test equipment to utilize. Keep in mind that a good diagnostic tool can actually interface with the ICM (Instrument Cluster Module) and actively command each gauge and light to test it. This also helps check the networking capability to see if there is something wrong there. Too much to suggest - recommend getting some professional help. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops/ford-repair-and-service-in-chetopa-kansas
