What is your question?
Truck started making a rattling sound two weeks ago. Last night I put fuel injector in it then drove it 1 mile and it stalled out ignition makes starter sound but doesn't start. Sounds like it's not getting gas. Also only runs without a filter. If you put the air filter in it stalls.

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Explorer Sport Trac. If your truck is rattling and won't start, it could point to issues with the timing chain, fuel delivery, or air intake system. The fact that it stalls with the air filter installed suggests it's struggling to get enough air to the engine. A clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump might be causing it to "starve" for fuel, resulting in a rough start or no start. The rattling sound could also mean the timing chain is stretched or damaged, which would impact engine timing and prevent starting. Since it stalled out completely, checking the fuel pressure at the fuel rail could reveal whether the pump is providing adequate pressure. Additionally, inspecting the timing chain for slack and listening for abnormal engine sounds can help determine if the timing is off. Finally, a scan for diagnostic codes can provide insight if the engine's control module has logged any recent issues.
