What is your question?
On the road diagnosis was bad fuel pump. Dropped tank and installed new one. Went to front passenger side panel where "reset" mechanism usually was located but couldn't find. Was told we needed to reset OB computer but available tool didn't have my vehicle year. Technician then ran a hot wire from fuel pump to battery and the van has worked ever since with the check engine light on and the fuel pump running continuously...
What makes this problem better or worse?
Started early one AM drove approximately 30 miles, stopped for coffee, van wouldn't restart, wouldn't even turnover which led to FP diagnosis which may have been wrong since it was later tested by a shop who said it was good
How long has your 2014 Ford E-350 Super Duty had this problem?

Hello, The reset procedure is just cycling the ignition switch to off, then on, then off, then on, then start. The flexfuel vans do not have a reset button. You'll want to disconnect that wire before you do this and make sure your wire harness and connection is sound. Funny enough though, test the fuel pump relay. I would not be surprised if the fuel pump relay or fuel pump fuse is bad from the get-go.
