Cruise control needs to see a few things before it will activate. Most commonly, if it does not see the operation of your brake light switch (on your brake pedal) OR the speed control deactivation switch, the system will not operate. These are the two places to start. Basically, you can use a diagnostic tool to watch each item in the system operate...and by doing this you can see what is not working.
