Hello, First, it's important to determine that the engine has reached a properly hot operating temperature. Yes, the thermostat was replaced, but have you been able to measure engine temperature? A diagnostic tool that is able to monitor data will share the engine temperature. If the engine temperature is north of 195 degrees -- over 200 degrees when warmed up -- then coolant heat shouldn't be a problem in supplying heat to the heater core. Ensure the engine has enough coolant in it. Low coolant can affect having heat generated in the vehicle. A clogged heater core can be an issue as well. As far as a valve being present -- the repair manual indicates a heater control valve, but I'm not sure of the function or location based on the reference material I looked at.
