Can rear brake sticking while driving cause the shifter cable to wear.
What is your question?
I had my brakes fixed on my 1994 Ford Econoline van however when I picked up my vehicle and drove it on the second day my rear brakes were not working properly and they were basically stuck and my van was hopping down the street. I then took it back to the mechanic to have it fixed and now I pick it up and I cannot put my van in park because it seems my shifter cable has stretched out. It's connected under the drive shaft and under the van which leads me to believe that it stretched out. Can stuck rear brakes on a rear wheel drive vehicle cause the shifter cable to wear?
