Tried working on replacing cables on side barn door. Took off locking mechanism to clip latch locks in. Screwed all pieces back into place and shut the door. Now it will not open from the inside or outside. The lock itself doesn't seem to extend as far as it used to. But we do not know how to remove the lock latch piece without opening the door. Any advice is greatly appreciated. (Sorry if I am using the wrong vocabulary and if I don't seem like I know what I am talking about. Still learning.)
