fuel gauge

Could be the sending unit in the tank, not really hard to check, but you will have to lower the tank to really work on it. here is a link to some repair info http://bit.ly/mitchell_repair_manuals_online

My Truck is doing the same thing ,I wonder if the fuel selector valve ever got upgraded in 1991.or if maybe the internal pump is going bad?
