Why would Car cut off in mid turn?

I just had trans rebuilt and before that it was fine but the whin up noise is still there and now its cutting off when i go to turn and i still have battery life and the alternator is not even a year old but when i put it in park and restart the car it cranks right up no problem and will drive but will cut off again as well. So what do yall think it might be
