Oil filter cap removal. Does the arrow indicate tightning or to loosen??

Old school way to remember, lefty loosey, righty tighty. The oil cap is sometimes very hard to remove. They make a socket that fits the cap just for sprinters, and a times it is still hard with that. After you remove it apply a light coat of grease to the seal around the cap to help remove it next time
