4 wheel drive differential seals next to the ring carrier.

What is your question?

When replacing the seals alongside the ring carrier bearings I ran into a soft RTV type next to the seals and cannot find them in the parts book yet they look like factory made seals. Do I leave them out or add RTV from a tube? I am a 'heavy' truck mechanic for over 45 years and have never seen seals installed this way. Thanks for your help!

i see the blow up in alldata and see what you are referring to but there is no identification of the seal. did you call the dealer for a parts blow up and id?? Roy
