I have an 08 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7l cummin diesel with a 68RFE transmission

Ive had recently changed solenoid pack on my transmission. Only on a rolling stop (turning right) at the feeder my truck goes into 4th gear lock, where it gears is felt from a stop to accelerate but wont change after 4th gear. Soon as you turn off the truck and wait for a few minutes it will run through all the gears with no problems ,Is there a safety thats causing this ? Yes the engine lights comes on but driving it for a while after turning truck off, light will turn off.
What makes this problem better or worse?
