Did the the shifter cable break?

Hello, Is this a manual transmission? Most trucks have the shifter mounted directly into the top of the manual transmission. If this is a manual, either you have suffered mechanical failure, or the clutch has failed. EDIT: check to make sure your driveshaft is intact, and if so, does it turn without the wheels turning?
