What is your question?
I have an 05 ram 2500 5.9 cummins. it started having some electrical issues like I would turn off the truck and take the key out and it would still be running. Then the lights started acting up. then out of the blue one day it just stopped going Into gear. Any gear. you start it and go to reverse and you can feel like a little change when going Into each gear but it wont actually engage any gears. all it does is rev up. some times in reverse if you wiggle the steering wheel back and forth it will start to slowly move. but even then it feels like you have all the brakes on and it mostly just revs. Can anyone help me with this problem
What makes this problem better or worse?
nothing so far has helped I drained fluid and replaced the filter
How long has your 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 had this problem?
8 month it has just been sitting there

Hello, I would look at the steering column and ignition switch along with the shift lever before I got into any further transmission diagnostic testing. The part where you take the key out and the engine stays running sounds like electrical ignition switch concerns. Other clues like wiggling the steering wheel having some nominal effect seems to lead towards steering column / shift lever / linkage issues. Of course, you could also have some kind of internal transmission concern besides the other issues. It will all require hands on testing to determine what is happening and how to resolve it. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
