stock truck 95k miles dealer serviced new fuel filter truck always seemed to lack power especially towing i know its factory ratings but i cant pull 8k pnds over 55 mph on flat land?? cant spin the tires unless i stand on brakes and spool up at 2300 rpm they start to break loose cant climb a small grade with 1k pnds over 55mph either tech looked at it said he adjusted my trans to shift higher and nothing alse was wrong??? is this normal for a stock 12v???

This may seem silly and something you've already looked at but how does your air filter look? Is your exhaust clean? No excessive black smoke? My friend has a 24V cummins and he's on his third TPS (throttle position sensor)(240K miles) but I think that creates more obvious symptoms. hope this helps!
first check air filter restriction and dont trust the gauge they do go bad if you cant blow through it with minimal effort replace next when you hit the pulls can u hear the turbo if not could b turbo or wastegate problem lasty have u had any internal or pump work done that it could not b timed properly if hard starting id explore 1 and 3 first my 96 auto has had 5-10 thousand on it everyday since 13000 mi and still barely knows its there at 389000 only problem ive had is its the 4th transmission
