What is your question?
Check engine light comes back on after idle. I Changed oil 1 month ago because I saw a check engine light. I always for the last 5 years have used fully syn oil. I changed all 16 spark plugs last week. Engine light came right back on within 3 miles of driving same code. I can see some oil is getting onto the top of the engine but not so much that I smell it burning off. I have always heard a light ticking noise while standing outside of my 2011 Ram 1500 and it does not seem louder than normal now. Im thinking a lifter is bad or a gasket is leaking, What should I do next? P.s. I did see that a few wires going to injector #2 had been chewed on by mice but only enough to show the wire. I taped it with elec tape. Hey its what happens out on the ranch sometimes :}
What makes this problem better or worse?
I turn the check engine light off with my lil thingy tool and then it comes back on within a few miles every time.
How long has your 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 had this problem?
3 months but I dont drive much lately because of the pandemic, ya know.

Properly repair any damaged wires. When you replaced the spark plugs, did you replace the coils? Coil boots could be swollen with oil (you mentioned oil noticed) and could be causing spark to arc. If there is oil in with the spark plugs and coil boots, you'll have to repair that first as well. Recommend a hands on assessment by a professional tech near you. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
