What is your question?
Vehicle just shut off while driving & could not be restarted.. The PRNDL indicator will not display on my dash cluster upon turning the key on to its first position.. The vehicle will not crank or start as well, but I do hear the starter relay energizing in the TIPM when turning the key to start position.. I am trying to determine if this issue is related to the TIPM, ECM or other module.. No corrosion was found on any of the plugs or terminals of the TIPM & ECM.. All fuses & relays check out ok as well
How long has your 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 had this problem?

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! It sounds like your 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 is putting on a bit of a show with that PRNDL display disappearing act! Since you're hearing the starter relay energize in the TIPM, the issue is likely tied to the Transmission Control Module (TCM) or the TIPM itself. The TCM manages the PRNDL display, so if it's having a bad day, it might not send the signal to the dash cluster. Since you've checked the TIPM and ECM and didn't find any corrosion, I'd focus on the TCM next. A diagnostic scan may reveal more details, especially if there's a communication error.
