engine knocks off when stopping

What is your question?

when i stop the truck with the automatic transmission in gear, the engine stalls frequently (+/-35% of the time) I installed a new valve throttle body and had the computer updated. the truck still stalls. if i put it in neutral it never stalls. the motor will run any length of time with no problem. someone told me it could be the torque converter. any thoughts? the rep meter goes from +/_600 to 0, the engine sort of shutters and shuts off instantly.

What makes this problem better or worse?

the same when motor is cold or warm
