ac blower motor IDK please help me :( still blows hot n cold, but not enough

ok i have my ac on full blast working good blowing full blast air into my face then all of sudden nothing i litterally have to put my face next to vent for air to hit me! the fan speed knob it changes normal i think i can still put in on low meduim high and i can hear the changes in air but not enough air is coming out of vents it sound like if its blowing real good inside of dashboard..i took it took it to a local mechanic he said he needs to take apart the whole dash board to see the problem and he needs to charge $250 labor only thats not including any parts!! single mom 2 kids i cant afford but i can try to do it myself :) please help me some one thanks monica
