ticking/whistling

What is your question?

I hear a ticking/whistling noise coming from the area near that one main belt thats goes around all the pulleys. I thought it was the idle but that wasn't it. What should I try next?

sounds like it is a serpentine belt. when the belt wears and the metal starts to show on the belt, it makes a noise against the pulleys. try spraying some water on the belt and see if it goes away. if it does, replace the belt. if it doesnt, then you need some help to identify the noise. Roy
