Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Unfortunately, it seems as if the transmission has lost engagement. This will allow the engine speed to rise when attempting to accelerate - without vehicle movement. Check your transmission fluid level first, is it clean and full? Does it smell burnt at all?: Beyond checking and adjusting fluid level, you'll have to take it to a repair shop near you for testing of the electronic transmission operation as well as the internal hydraulic operation. I suspect an internal failure of some sort has caused a loss of transmission engagement. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
