replacing ECM

not something you should do yourself. steps have to be taken to replace it without damageing the new one. flashing has to be done to tell the computer about you truck. do not get a used one as the vin is burned into the unit and if it does not match, it will not work. make sure it is the problem and not something else. in about 80% of the time, replcing the ecm does not repair the problem. take it to a pro and let him make the call Roy
