on the recall about the abs ,my light stays on and brake light ,is recalled

If there is a recall, you can drive to the dealership and have them fix it.

Not sure about the ABS stuff, but my shift down cable has been broken for months now. (My idiot of a freind was trying to jump his truck off mine and revved the engine slightly to get more voltage out of the alternator and broke the shift down plastic connector off, 160 dollars to fix it at the dealership, can't fix it myself without a computer to reprogram the module in.) Before i figured out exactly what was happening and the resoning it just wouldn't shift down, now the cable is held on to the throttle assembly by a nail and some duct tape. You can drive without it, just don;t expeect it to shift when you want it to. As far as the ABS stuff goes i would definitly take it in if there is a recall on it, i wouldn't pass up the free service on it myself.

is the speedo working because it gets the info from the abs module so if its defective it wont shift either and you will cook your transmission
